Stuxnet Maybe Funded by Government or Private Institutions

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The spread of malware (malicious software) aka malicious programs in the virtual world is no longer just a fad or steal confidential data on the victim's computer. A new type of malware worm that is named Stuxnet now also through industrial control systems that can cause major disasters in the real world.
"We really had never seen a worm like this before," said Liam O'Murchu, Researcher, Symantec Security Response in a press release last week. "The fact that this worm can control the workings of the physical machine of course very disturbing," he continued.
The worm has spread throughout the world and one of the control target is Iran's nuclear facilities. The worm also has the potential to attack power stations and trying to cripple a country's national security.
Based on the observations of the researchers, the possibility of parties who are behind the manufacture Stuxnet worm is the government or a wealthy private institution. Worm ins consist of complex computer programs that require a variety of construction skills. This worm is very sophisticated, very large funded and not many groups that can launch this threat.
Symantec Experts estimate the project will require 5 to 10 people within six months. In addition, the knowledge needed industrial control systems and access to the system to perform quality testing, again this indicated that this is a project that is very organized and has a large fund.
